Los Angelesmaaaaaan, at first listen I didn't really "get" Los Angeles. i knew i was going to like and was supposed to like it, and when i finally did.... mmmmmmmmm. mind explosion snitches! i hope hip hop takes note and starts to head in the direction of having original experimental producers... or flying lotus just keeps making albums.

Eden Express -
Que Amors Quereally, im not sure why this is my number two. it just strikes a chord for me. i don't care for her voice very much, but i like how the album feels. like maybe, living in some latin american country driving in the country roads smoking a cigarette just feeling cool and shit. that would be the life.

Grouper -
Dragging a Dead Deer Up A Hillpretty. depressing. pretty depressing.

The Fun Years -
Baby, It's Cold Insidenot fun at all. but im really into sample based modern classical and post-rock... and this sounds like the perfect baby of those two genres.

Bohren & der Club of Gore -
Doloresnothing like metal guys that play jazz. really, nothing like it.

Crystal Stilts -
Alight of Nightif you want to be cool, listen to crystal stilts. it's like shopping at american apparel if there is no american apparel in your town.

In Ear Park grizzly bear. that's all.

Juana Molina -
Un Diammmm. argentine goodness. she always makes the best spring time albums. i was playing this in the record store i work at (hipster cred. right there) and one of our regulars said it was good art school student music. yeah, dude.

No Age -
Nounsi always found it hard to say no age. it sounds like noige when people ask who this is when im playing it.... anyway, it's two guys making a bunch of noise.

Valet -
Naked Aciddrone, somewhat depressing, makes you feel cool music that no one will get while you're listening to it but will wish they were cool enough to be the one listening.
i keep thinking black lights and stuff.

Devotionlo-fi analogue sounding electronic sad music with a female vocalist

Jean Grae: Evil Jeaniusi spit when i rhyme, i rhyme when i spit
